Remember Cambridge Past, Present & Future in your will

We rely heavily on the kind donations of supporters to make a difference to Cambridge and its surroundings. One way you can help support our work is to leave a legacy donation in your Will or to make a donation in memory of someone you love.

If you or a loved one have had a lifetime’s pleasure from places such as Wandlebury Country Park and Coton Country Reserve or our heritage sites, then a legacy gift is a great way of helping future generations to enjoy it too.

Members and supporters of Cambridge Past, Present & Future have provided legacies large and small to enable us to:-

  • care for places such as Wandlebury,
  • create Coton Countryside Reserve
  • provide learning and outreach
  • look after the historic buildings in our care.

Leaving a legacy to charity in your will is often a lot simpler than people think. There are a number of ways you can leave a legacy to us, it can be:

  • a specified amount of money
  • a percentage of your estate
  • specific items.

It may also take the form of

  • a donation in memory of a loved one
  • a gift instead of floral tributes at a funeral.

Because we are a charity your gift in a will is exempt from Inheritance Tax and you could reduce the amount of inheritance tax due on your estate by leaving us a legacy.

If you are thinking of leaving a legacy it would be best to speak to your solicitor. You can find a solicitor at www.lawsociety.org.uk. If you do decide to give a legacy it is helpful to include our charity number - 204121

For further information please download our legacy leaflet. When you are ready we'd be pleased to talk to you about leaving a legacy and all information will be treated in the strictest confidence.
